Cake Sales

Amongst our amazing group of helpers – the “Thrive Bees” – we have some dedicated bakers who make delicious creations to stock our ever-popular cake stalls.

The National Trust’s Chastleton House in the North Cotswolds is a delightful setting for stall-holders and visitors alike to enjoy a stroll around the house and gardens followed by tea and cake served in the pretty parish Church.

Our Open Gardens Scheme event at Sarsden Glebe garden in Churchill, Oxfordshire has also proved very popular and a great fundraiser for us.

Almost impossible to resist, the sale of home-made cakes and freshly brewed tea is a staple form of income for Thrive Northox.

We couldn’t do it without our willing team who never let us down in the supply of home-baked delights!

Winterfest

In November 2016 and November 2017, Thrive Northox transformed Churchill Village Hall in order to create “Winterfest”, a fundraiser in celebration of all things winter.

The local community was hugely supportive of Winterfest, turning out to fill Churchill Village Hall for a welcome glass of fizz and the chance to shop from stalls themed around cosy winter gifts, lighting, warmth and wellness.

We were supported by local suppliers and wellness professionals who offered their wares and shared their knowledge on how to stay fit and well during the winter months.

The lovely Jane from Oats Health Food Shop in Chipping Norton gave a talk on the use of supplements to stay well over winter and Nicky from the Cotswold-based FitActive Personal Training shared movement ideas for maintaining physical health.

Chipping Norton Christmas

One chilly evening in December 2018, the Thrive team set out their wares in Chipping Norton for the Christmas fair.

Everyone loves a fairy light and at Christmas, candles always bring some festive cheer.

Churchill Classic Car Show

Thrive Northox has been proud to have been one of the beneficiaries of Churchill Classic Car Show since June 2016.

Collecting admission fees from visitors to the show and hosting our own stall has been a great way to raise funds for helping the local community.

Our stall in June 2018 held an earth-friendly balloon race. It was a popular attraction, with the winning balloon making it all the way to Helston in Norfolk!

Midcounties Co-Operative Charity Partnership

We were proud to have been chosen by the local community as Charity Partners to Mid-counties Co-op. The team at the Chipping Norton store gave Thrive Northox amazing support. We used the community space in the store for fundraising stalls, were supplied with food bank donations and received support from sponsored staff activities and carrier bag sales.

Our partnership came to an end in June 2023, so if your business is looking to sponsor a grass-roots charity with direct connections to those in need, feel free to make contact with us on contact@thrive-northox.co.uk

We think it’s fair to say that the Co-op team are all super-heroes and with their help, Thrive Northox was able to extend support to families throughout the OX7 area, including the villages of Chadlington, Great Tew, Hook Norton, Enstone and Kingham.
